Abstract
Currently, there is increasing interest in the possible application at the clinical level of local, regional or systemic hyperthermia as a therapeutic modality in the management of the cancer patient. This interest is based on both old and relatively recent observations that in experimental animal and in man destruction of established tumors has been achieved as a result of application of hyperthermia alone in the temperature range of 41-43. 3C for brief periods of time.
However the mechanism of heat to destroy cancer cells is not defined accurately and the methods to elevate body temperature easily and safely are developing now. If above conditions were solved, hyperthermia will be a adjunct therapeutic modality for the management of cancer patients.
